World Colours – Green

Happy St Patrick’s Day! Now that I have a blog, I’m going to participate in this project that was started by Naomi at Box 53b, a friend I’ve got to know through Twitter, and Anne at Part Time Traveller. The idea, to paraphrase Anne, is to share our favourite photos according to the theme colour of the month. Other bloggers have already joined in the fun and posted white pictures for January, and red ones for February. I wonder if it’s too late for me to join in. ;) Back to the present; this month’s theme is green, and what better day to do this?

Green also happens to be a colour with a history in motor racing. In particular, a deep green tone called British Racing Green has been prominently used by British teams such as Jaguar and Lotus in successful Formula 1 and Le Mans campaigns, and it continues to be used today.
